How is the performance of Easy AC ?

Is Easy AC easy to operate ?

Most commonly used functions are accessible through Icons located on the top or bottom of the screen. Different screens are designed to have a similar look and feel, pull-down button are commonly used for looking-up predefined items selection.

How many accounting years can Easy AC maintain ?

Easy AC system does not impose any restriction on the number of accounting years the system can keep. It is perhaps more of a system resource concerns, since keeping more records mean more storage space and longer processing time.

Is Easy AC Y2K compliant ?

Yes. Easy AC has been tested to pass on Y2K issue. Date has always been stored in 4-digit format.

What's the minimum hardware requirement for Easy AC ?

Easy AC operates well in a PC Pentium class machine. It is recommend to have a Pentium III or above machine with 64M Ram for Win 98 platform, 128M for W2K and 256M for Win XP platform.

Which platform it is operated on ?

Win98/Me, Win2000 and WinXP. Chinese windows required for chinese characters processing.

Which network server does Easy AC operate on ?

Easy AC can run on Novell Netware, Linux, Unix, Windows 2000/3 server.

How many records can Easy AC store ?

Effectively the number of records is limited by the size of the current storage space. Easy AC can handle up to 1 Giga number of records per file.

Is Easy AC multi-company capable ?

Yes. Required to purchase a separate multi-company license.

Is Easy AC multi-currency capable?

Yes.

Finding Records

Is it easy to find a specific record ?

If you know the exact word, you can just click the Find Icon then key in the search word. The record will be displayed instantly.

Can I select just a range of records to browse around ?

Go to the Criteria menu pad, then select ><, filled in From String, To String.
Clicks the Browse Icon to display, records meeting the preselect conditions will be shown.

Can I change the display order of the records ?

Easy. Select the [Order By] menu pad from the [Action] pad, then clicks the pull-down arrow to select from the list.

Record Analysis

When is it useful?

It is useful for doing a quick summary and data selection based on a selected range of criteria such as date, customer ID, sales amount. Its powerful [group] function lets user to summarise sales amount for each customer in a concise list.

Accounting Issues

Is the journal ledger double entry ?

An entry can be saved only if the total on the debit side is equal to the total on the credit side.

How to generate trial balance ?

Open the trial balance screen.
Selects the starting date by clicking the left/right arrow on the right.
Clicks the [Go] Icon to start processing.

All the entries found in the ledger within the specified period will be sorted into its corresponding accounts.

How to generate profit & loss account / balance sheet ?

This is a two step processes.

The first step is to map your accounts to the assigned groups that will be used in the PL / BS in the Define Group Screen. For example, the Rent account will be assigned to the Expenses group which appears in the PL statement.

To see the result of your work goes to the BS & PL Screen, selects the accounting period and clicks the [Go] icon.

How to manage the monthly AR / AP ?

The AR / AP is generated from the customer / vendor invoices and from the payment records entered in the journal ledger.

Before generating your monthly statement, make sure you have all the monthly invoices entered and payment recorded in the journal ledger.

Select the desired month from the customer monthly statement screen, click the left / right icon on the bottom of the screen to browse through each customer.
